Boyd Back in Action

Play is moving along pretty quickly for it being the first 5 minutes of the day. Walking around the tournament area you can't avoid hearing someone say "pay out!". The short stacks are moving in, trying to grab hold of something substantial or hit the rail early and do something else with their day.

Over at table #359 one of those short stacks, Jonathan Ko moved all in for around 4,600. Liya Gerasimova called from the cut-off and Dutch Boyd did the same from the big blind.

The dealer spread a flop of {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Ko exploded in glee. Obviously very excited he started talking about his hand, basically saying he won. The table told him to be quiet as there were other people involved in the hand, and he mildly suppressed his excitement.

Boyd bet out 5,000 and Gerasimova made the call. The {2-Diamonds} fell on the turn and both players took the opportunity to check.

After the {9-Spades} hit the river both players repeated their actions with checks and cards were exposed. Ko flipped over {10-}{10-} for a set of tens. Boyd flipped over {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} for a pair of aces, which was apparently enough to take the small side pot, as Gerasimova mucked her cards.
