Double For Dannenmann

A player opened to 8,000 from middle position and Steven Dannenmann peered down at his cards from the small blind and moved all in.

"How much more?" asked Dannenmann's opponent.

"It's about 126,000," replied Dannenmann jokingly. Dannenmann's actual all in was for 20,000 total.

While Dannemann's opponent was counting out his calling chips, Dannenmann continued with his table talk.

"Just think of your image here. If you fold they'll say 'Wow, he's one of the best!"

This statement did nothing to deter his opponent so Dannenmann kept going.

"Think about after I leave," Dannenmann continued. "After I leave there will be no entertainment. This table will start playing serious poker."

Dannenmans opponent laughed and tossed out a call, tabling {A-Clubs}{8-Spades} but was behind Dannenmann's {A-Spades}{j-Hearts}.

The board fell {Q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades} and Dannenmann was able to score a double up to stay alive in this tournament.
