Negreanu Nails The Double Up

Daniel Negreanu raised under the gun to 14,000, and Tommy Vedes defended his big blind. The flop came down {7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{k-Hearts}, and Vedes checked to Negreanu, who bet 16,000. Vedes tanked for about a minute, before sliding in a check raise to 54,000 total. Negreanu thought for just a few moments before moving all in for 80,000, and Vedes made the call.

Negreanu: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Vedes: {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

Vedes was in a world of hurt, and would need to pair up again to knock Kid Poker off. However, the turn and river both came sixes, and Negreanu scooped the pot to get up to 180,000, while Vedes drops to 100,000.
