Niel Mittelman Eliminated in 4th Place ($146,931)

Niel Mittelman - 4th place
Niel Mittelman - 4th place

Niel Mittelman was first to act and opened to 60,000. Directly behind him on the button, Nelson Robinson three-bet to 140,000. Undeterred, Mittelman re-popped it to 310,000 and Robinson didn't take long to announce he was all in. Mittelman called all in for less and hands were revealed.

Mittelman: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Robinson: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Robinson held a slight advantage going to the flop and the {3-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} kept him in the lead - eliminating Mittelman in 4th place.

Niel Wins a Small One

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Thomas Conway was on the button and flicked in the call. Niel Mittelman then called in the small blind and it was onto Nelson Robinson in the big blind. He opted to check and the dealer readied three cards for the felt.

Flop: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

On the flop, Mittelman checked and so did Robinson. Conway then bet 40,000. Mittelman called and Robinson got out of the way and the hand would continue.

Both remaining players then checked the {3-Clubs} turn and the {8-Clubs} river. When Mittelman tabled his {q-}{3-}, his turned pair of threes were enough to rake in the pot.

Palumbo Muscles a Pot

Rocco Palumbo opened to 60,000 first to act and Thomas Conway three-bet to 145,000 directly behind him. Behind Conway, Niel Robinson four-bet to 340,000 from the small blind. It was folded back to Palumbo, who announced he was all in. Conway quickly folded, as did Mittelman.

Palumbo revealed a {7-} and mucked his hand. He is our commanding chip leader with 4.4 million.

Jason Everett Eliminated in 5th Place ($107,411)

Jason Everett - 5th Place
Jason Everett - 5th Place

Jason Everett recently lost a chunk of his stack when he three-bet folded to the four-bet of Rocco Palumbo. The very next hand and Everett would get his stack all-in holding {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and have to come up against the {a-}{10-Hearts} of Nelson Robinson.

By the time the turn fell on a {4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} board, Everett had outs to the flush draw, but it wasn't meant to be as the {6-Spades} river gave him no help. For his fifth-place finish, Everett goes home with $107,411 - our first six-figure payout of the day.

Robinson Spikes King to Double Through Mittelman

Niel Mittelman opened to 60,000 from under-the-gun and directly behind him, Nelson Robinson moved all in for 580,000 total. Everyone else folded back to Mittelman, who thought it over and called to put Robinson at risk.

Robinson: {K-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Mittelman: {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}

The {3-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop gave Mittelman a commanding lead, however, the {K-Spades} fell on the turn, giving Robinson a pair of kings to pull in front. The {3-Hearts} river changed nothing and Robinson doubled through to 1.2 million.

Kevin Elia Eliminated in 6th Place ($79,646)

Kevin Elia - 6th place
Kevin Elia - 6th place

Rocco Palumbo opened to 60,000 from the cutoff and action folded around to Kevin Elia in the big blind, who made the call.

The flop came {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Elia pushed all in a bit over 500,000. Palumbo quickly called and hands were revealed.

Elia: {Q-Spades}{10-Clubs} for top pair with a flush draw.
Palumbo: {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} for both a superior kicker and flush draw.

Elia was in bad shape and the {9-Hearts} turn and {3-Diamonds} river sealed Elia's fate for a 6th-place finish.

Palumbo is chip leader with 3.6 million.

Everett Wins a Few

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Folded to Rocco Palumbo on the button, he raised it up to 60,000. Jason Everett made the call out of the big blind and a {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop was dealt. Everett opted to check-call a bet of 50,000 here and the {3-Diamonds} would hit the turn. Both players checked this card and a {k-Hearts} completed the board on the river.

This time Everett would lead, throwing out a bet of 95,000. That was too much for Palumbo, with Everett raking in the pot.
