Split, Split, Split
The nature of today's event is that a huge amount of pots are split between the player with the best high hand and the player with the best low hand. We just watched this happen during both variants of games.
Omaha-8
This hand was between Bryan Devonshire and one opponent and it started when the player in the cutoff opened up the pot. Devonshire called and the dealer readied some cards.
Board:
Devonshire's opponent check-called a bet on every street and then watched Devonshire table for a straight. His opponent held , with the ace-three enough to give him the low half of the pot.
Stud-8
Bryan Micon: / /
Opponent: / /
We arrived at the table on fifth street, with Bryan Micon check-calling a bet from one opponent. He did the same on sixth and again on seventh. Micon's hole cards saw him have an eighty-seven low, while his opponent held a flush to take the other side of the pot.
