Phillips was ahead when the chips went in, and even managed to pair his aces on the flop; however, Shulman's supporters seemed quite excited as their woman had picked up the nut-flush draw. Wouldn't you know it, the peeled off on the turn to complete the said flush and guarantee Shulman the double.
Phillips gave her a quick hug as the was put out on the river. With that, Phelps became the news chip leader simply by sitting on the sidelines.
