High Flyers: Latz, Young, Jones & Gross

With only $4,591 live tournament earnings on his resume, the name of Hendrik Latz will not be a familiar one to you, but with 120,000 chips we had better start getting used to typing it. We just saw him drag in a 30,000 pot when his {A-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} proved to be too hot for the {A-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} of his opponent. All of the money went in pre flop in a four-bet exchange between Latz and his opponent and the board ran out {A-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {2-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {7-Hearts}.

Another player with towers of chips is Jordan Young. With 119,500 chips Young is a force to be reckoned with and is currently occupying table space with Dave "Doc" Sands. We just asked Sands if Young was any good.

"He is certainly better at this than he is at nine-handed play," said the Doc.

Two other American players flying high in this competition are AE Jones (125,000) and Steve Gross (100,000) with Jones crushing his table in every hand.
