Seiver Hurts Akenhead

When we last saw James Akenhead he was struggling on the short stack with around 3,000 in front of him. A change of table had resulted in a change of fortune until this happened.

We joined the action on a flop of {J-Hearts} {5-Spades} {4-Hearts}. Scott Seiver was seated in the big blind and James Akenhead was seated in the cutoff. Seiver bet 1,800 and Akenhead made the call. The turn was the {K-Diamonds} and Seiver bet 2,800, once again Akenhead called. Then on the river we saw the {3-Hearts} and Seiver bet 5,500. Akenhead took some more time on this one. He had 13,500 behind and you could tell it was a tough decision for him. In the end the chips went into the middle, Seiver turned over {Q-Spades} {Q-Hearts} and Akenhead mucked his hand.

Steve O'Dwyer is also sat on the same table and has 42,500.
