Halleart Dodges Mortensen

Kenny Hallaert just updated us on his tournament and he's doing really good. It could have gone the other way but Carlos Mortensen decided against pulling the trigger. Hallaert raised to 1,000 and Mortensen called, as did the player on the button.

The flop brought {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Hallaert threw out 1,650. Mortensen called after which the button shoved for 5,100. Hallaert moved all-in over the top and the former WSOP Main Event champion folded.

The turn was the {6-Clubs} and the river the {Q-Hearts} giving Hallaert the pot. Hallaert told us Mortensen told him he folded {A-}{Q-} and considered moving all-in pre flop. Mortensen made the right move, but could have had a much bigger stack if he went in for the double up. Hallaert is cruising right now with almost twice the average stack.
