Darner and Radoja Trading Blows

For the most part at this final table, play has been pretty snug. We have only seen a handful of flops in two hours of play, and we had yet to see a four bet preflop. However, Mark Darner and Marh Radoja have taken it upon themselves to open up the action, as they tangled in back to back pots.

First, Darner raised to 55,000 in the cutoff, and Radoja three bet to 114,000 on the button. It got back to Darner, and he put out a four bet to 231,000. Radoja released his hand after a minute in the tank, and Darner collected the pot.

On the very next hand, the exact same betting occurred. However, this time Radoja put in the first five bet of the day to 525,000. Darner was in the tank for at least three minutes, constantly wiggling around in his seat. He moved back and forth in his seat, putting his head into his hands at various points. Eventually, he folded his hand, and Radoja won round two.

Darner's Big River Bet Get's It Done

It was folded around to the battle of the blinds and the battle of the Marks, as Darner raised it up to 70,000. Radoja made the call, and the flop came down {j-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{10-Clubs}. Darner continuation bet for 75,000, and Radoja made the call. Both players checked when the scary {k-Spades} hit the turn, and the river brought the {3-Clubs}. Darner counted out a huge bet of 205,000, and slid it into the middle.

Radoja went deep into the tank, thinking for about 90 seconds. He cut out the chips to make the call, and waited to see if Darner would react. Eventually, he put them back, and started to pick up his cards like he was going to muck. He hung onto them, still looking for a reaction, but he got none. He eventually released his hand, and Darner took the pot.

Radoja Picks Off Muzzatti

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Mark Radoja raised it up to 42,000 in the cutoff, and Robert Muzzatti was his only caller in the big blind. The flop came down {7-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{a-Clubs}, and Muzzatti fired out 80,000. Radoja made the call, and the {2-Hearts} hit the river. This time, Muzzatti check called a bet of 77,000 from Radoja, and they were off to the river, the {k-Clubs}. Muzzatti changed it up, and fired out 125,000. Radoja tossed in the call, and tabled {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. Muzzatti showed just {q-Spades}{4-Spades} for complete air, and Radoja took the big pot down. We are getting updated counts on all six players as we speak.

Ramey Shaio raised under the gun to 45,000, forcing folds from everyone but Matt Matros in the big blind. He defended his blind, and they were off to a flop, which came {10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. After both players checked, the dealer put the {3-Hearts} on the turn. Matros fired out 53,000, and Shaio made the call. The river was the {j-Diamonds}, and Matros kept his foot on the gas, fired out 135,000 this time. Shaio tanked for about 30 seconds before calling, and he mucked when Matros showed {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades} for two pair.

The two players are very close at the top, but that pot gave Matros a slight edge.

Mark Radoja
Mark Radoja

Action folded to Mark Darner on the button, and he raised it up to 45,000. Mark Radoja tagged along in the small blind, and the flop came down {k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. Both players checked, and the dealer peeled off the {9-Diamonds} on the turn. Radoja fired out 65,000, and Darner made the call. The river completed the flush, coming the {4-Diamonds}. It didn't slow Radoja down, as he cut out a bet of 165,000, and tossed it in. Darner thought for about 15 seconds before calling, and Radoja tabled {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for top two pair. Darner mucked, giving Radoja the pot after a rare showdown.

Matros Wins A Small One

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Players have been playing very cautiously so far, and we just got one of our first showdowns of the final table. Ramey Shaio raised it up to 40,000, and it folded around to Matt Matros, who defended his big blind. Matrios check called a bet of 32,000 on the flop, which read {3-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}. Both players checked the turn, the {2-Spades}, and the river, the {2-Clubs}. Matros tabled {6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, and Shaio mucked his hand.
