Chris Moore Eliminated in 5th Place ($56,380)

Level 69 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Chris Moore - 5th place
Chris Moore - 5th place

A flurry of big hands in a 10-minute span told the tale of the final match to end in the round of eight.

Chris Moore limped on the button and Tommy Chen raised to 95,000 from the big blind. Moore re-raised to 300,000 and Chen moved all in over the top. Moore called all in for just a little bit more and showed {A-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. Chen was ahead with {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, but was unable to hold through the {9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{J-Spades} board.

Shortly thereafter, Chen shoved on the button for a tad less than 300,000 with {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. Moore called from the big blind with {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}, but once again the favored hand failed to hold. The board ran out {Q-Spades}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} to double Chen right back up. Keep in mind, Moore had used both lammers while Chen still had both at his disposal.

A few hands later, Moore opened to 40,000 on the button and Chen re-raised to 105,000 in the big blind. Moore four-bet shoved with the bigger stack and Chen called all in for 564,000 with {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}. Moore slightly trailed with {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades} and even through the {9-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Spades} flop didn't help him, he became a slight favorite to win the hand. However, the {3-Hearts} turn and {A-Clubs} river were no help.

Down to about 200,000, Moore called all in with {K-Spades}{J-Clubs} after Chen raised for more on the button with {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. The final board of Day 2 ran out {9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds} as Chen hit the straight on the river to earn a spot in the final four.
