Parker Plunges

Level 16 : 400/800, 0 ante

After a {4-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} board was spread by the dealer Brock Parker bet out 1,600. His opponent, Dan Smith took his time before announcing raise, and putting in 3,900. Action was back to Parker who threw in a giant stack of orange, yellow, and blue and declared all in. Smith made a fairly quick call and both players turned over their hands.

Parker: {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}
Smith: {Q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Parker was miles behind as his pair of fives were no match for Smith's pair of jacks. A five or running straight cards could save Parker, but a {10-Diamonds} on the turn and a {k-Spades} river card brought not such luck. Smith was awarded the double up, and now takes a strong lead in the match.

Vojtech Ruzicka Cashes His Lammers in

Level 16 : 400/800, 0 ante

On a {5-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} board with around 19,000 in the pot Scott Baumstein had put Vojtech Ruzicka all in for around 17,000 chips. Ruzicka was far from happy and tanked for a long time before making the call.

Baumstein turned over {Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and took all Ruzicka's live chips. Ruzicka threw his two lammers towards the dealer and will play on with a 40,000 chips stack. Baumstein still has one lammer left behind and the chip lead.

Patel Doubles

Level 16 : 400/800, 0 ante

On the {J-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{9-Hearts} board, Matt Stout bet 4,000 and Emil Patel made the call. The river was the {3-Clubs} and Stout bet all in, having Patel covered. Patel quickly called and tabled the {J-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for a rivered two pair. Stout held the {J-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}. Patel was all in on the river for 11,900 and doubled up.

Selbst Bullies Clements

Level 17 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

On a {7-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} board we found Scott Clements check-raising a bet from Vanessa Selbst and making it 2,100. When action was back on Selbst she took her time before placing 5,900 in the middle. A call was made by Clements and both players were awarded a {j-Diamonds} on the river. Clements then quickly checked, only to find himself facing an all in bet from Selbst. Clements made the fold and now sits around 15,000 with one add-on left.

Blom Attacks and Busts Chen Once

Level 17 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

From the button, Viktor "Isildur1" Blom raised to 1,600 in the last level. Tommy Chen called and the flop came down {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}. Chen led for 2,300 and Blom called.

On the {K-Spades} turn, Chen checked and Blom bet 4,200. Chen folded and Blom won the pot.

A few hands later in the current level, Chen was all in preflop with the {4-Clubs}{4-Spades} versus Blom's {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. The flop, turn and river ran out {Q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{K-Hearts} and Blom forced Chen to use one of his add-on lammers.

Lyndaker Staying Around

We didn't catch the action, but after we noticed Josh Brikis heading for the doors we talked to Richard Lyndaker to try and find out what had happened.

According to Lyndaker, after series of raises preflop both players witnessed a {j-}{9-}{4-} flop. It was here that Lyndaker check-shoved and Brikis called. Cards were turned over and it appeared as if Brikis' {K-}{K-} were set to win against Lyndaker's {Q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}. A {10-} on the turn and a {k-} on the river proved to be disaster for Brikis though as he was eliminated due to a straight hit by Lyndaker.
