Hastings Takes Out Patel

Brian Hastings has just secured his place in the fourth round beating Emil Patel for all his chips. Hastings told us he raised the button to 4,000 and Patel three-bet to 9,000. Hastings called with {7-}{8-} off suit and the flop came down {7-}{8-}{3-} with two diamonds and one heart. Patel bet 8,000 and Hastings put him all in for right around 32,000. Patel called with {3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and was looking for runner runner help. The turn was the {9-Hearts} opening up a flush draw possibility, but the river was a {Q-} ending Patel's tournament.

Hastings moves on to the fourth round in which he will play Tommy Vedes.
