Williams Finds A Double Up

As we got up from our table, we saw that David Williams was all in on a flop that read {6-Clubs}{a-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. Williams held {8-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{a-Clubs} for top two pair, while his opponent held just {5-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} for a pair of aces. "Two outs" Williams repeated several times, and indeed, only one of the two remaining sevens would do him in. The {a-Hearts} hit the turn, giving Williams a full house, but his opponent could still hit a seven for a better aces full. The river was the {4-Spades}, and Williams secured the double up to move up to 21,000.

Meanwhile, William's table mate JC Tran was eliminated on the next hand of play
