Helping Themselves to Vinh's Chips

Huu Vinh
Huu Vinh

Tim Finne just took two little pots from Huu Vinh in a row. The second one began with Finne as the bring-in showing the {5-Clubs}. Vinh completed with the {10-Clubs}, and Finne made it two bets. Finne pulled the {4-Hearts} and fired again, and Vinh's {5-Spades} was good enough for one more call. The {6-Clubs} on fifth didn't help him, though, and he folded when Finne bet his {J-Clubs}.

That knocked Vinh down around the 300,000-chip mark, and John Monnette had his sights set on that remainder. In the next pot, Vinh completed with the {Q-Spades}, and Monnette called with the {7-Hearts}. Vinh pulled the {A-Diamonds} on fourth street and bet his lead, while Monnette's {8-Hearts} was good enough for a raise. Vinh called, but he folded when Monnette drew the {8-Spades} on fifth.

Vinh is getting short now, down under five big bets.
