Off Route for Routos

We don't exactly know what the action was preflop, but once we saw a whole table standing and staring at the board we came a running to see what was going on.

On a {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Spades} flop two players were all in and called by former chip leader James Routos. Routos held {k-}{k-} for a pair of kings. One of his opponents tabled {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} for a flush draw, and the final player in the hand showed {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for a set of eights.

The set of eights were ahead for now, but there was still a turn and a river to see. With a {2-Clubs} touching down on fourth street the set of eights looked to be in good shape. The {10-Diamonds} river assured that the set of eights were indeed the best hand and the massive 30,000 chip pot was awarded to the winner.
