Giannetti Sets Up Grey

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Thomas Grey's great run ends near the conclusion of Day 6.
Thomas Grey's great run ends near the conclusion of Day 6.

Matt Giannetti opened with a raise to 110,000 from under the gun, then it folded around to Tom Grey who reraised to 375,000 from the hijack seat. It folded back to Giannetti who made the call.

The flop came {9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. Giannetti checked, and Grey didn't waste too much time before betting 560,000. Giannetti sat for nearly a minute, then announced he was raising. He carved out the 560,000, then another 850,000 on top of that. Once that was settled, Grey instantly announced he was all in, and Giannetti snap-called.

Giannetti: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Grey: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

Set of nines for Giannetti, who stood from the table nervously sweating the arrival of the last two community cards. The turn was the {5-Diamonds}, and Giannetti continued to stand with his head down. Meanwhile, Grey sat stoically at the table, a small grin on his face.

The river was dealt -- the {J-Hearts} -- and it was easy to see Giannetti physically react. "I saw paint!" he said, and Bryan Devonshire touched his chest for proof that his heart was pounding.

It took some time to sort out the stack sizes, but in the end it was found that Giannetti had Grey just covered, and Grey shook hands and departed. Giannetti is still stacking, but looks to have around 8.2 million as we near the end of Day 6.
