Friedman Finds A Nine On The Flop

Level 26

Hold'em:

Adam Friedman raised to 60,000 from under-the-gun and Jonathan Tamayo three-bet to 90,000. Friedman made the call and the flop came {4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Friedman checked the textured flop and Tamayo fired 30,000 into the pot. This was met by a call from Friedman and the turn card came {4-Spades}.

This time Friedman led out for a bet of 60,000 and Tamayo decided to see the river card, making the call.

River: {A-Hearts}

Both players checked after the scare card arrived and Tamayo tabled his {2-}{2-} for bottom pair. Friedman held the {K-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for a pair of nines, which was enough to push the pot his way. This beat dropped Tamayo into the danger zone with only 150,000 remaining chips, while Friedman continued his ascent, climbing to 1,550,000 with the win.
