Costner Departs
Gabe Costner looked for a moment like he might be pushing toward the chip lead and control of this Main Event with about 50 or so players left. A few untimely cards and lost pots later, and he was down to 1.175 million chips when he moved all in with . Scott Clements looked him up with , and Costner was looking good to double.
There was an ace on the flop, though, and the board of was just all around unkind to Costner. It's his fourth cash this year at the WSOP, and this latest score moves him up over $1,000,000 in career earnings. His first bracelet will have to wait for now though; Costner is out in 35th place.
Clements is now on 6 million, give or take. He's still stacking.
