Toth Takes One Off Ivey

Phil Ivey raised in the cutoff and was called by Amnon Filippi on the button and Richard Toth in the big blind. Toth drew two, Ivey one, and Filippi two. Toth checked and Ivey bet, receiving calls from both opponents.

Toth drew one on the second draw, as did Ivey, and Filippi drew two. It was checked to Ivey again and he bet, chasing away Filippi. Toth called and stood pat, while Ivey once again drew one card. Toth checked and Ivey did the same, but mucked when Toth tabled {8-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{2-}.

The Hungarian Pro moved up to 9,000 while Ivey slipped to 6,600. Following the hand, Ivey left the room and went back to the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout where his table is currently four-handed.
