Paino Takes a Hit

We just caught the tail end of the betting action, but Tom Dwan was all in after a flop of {K-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds}, and chip leader Antonio Paino put him to the test. With close to 150,000 chips in the middle of the table, the cards were on their backs:

Dwan: {7-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} (second pair, flush draw, gusthot straight draw)
Paino: {3-Clubs} {10-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} (top pair, gutshot straight draw)

The turn was the {10-Spades} to improve Dwan to the king-high straight and put him one card from a double up. Paino needed to fill up or catch a jack to eliminate "durrrr", but the river {6-Spades} was a safe blank, doubling the dangerous Dwan.

He's up to 145,000 now, and Paino is still doing just fine with his stack of 240,000.
