David Singer Eliminated in 17th Place ($9,604)

David Singer - 17th Place
David Singer - 17th Place

Stud-8

David Singer doubled up once earlier, to go from critically short to just short. He was soon all in again. Dan Makowsky completed on third street, then called after Singer raised. On fourth street, Singer made an open pair and bet it. Makowsky raised, Singer re-raised, and then Makowsky put in the fourth bet, enough to put Singer all in. He called and opened {a-Spades} {2-Spades} / {7-Spades} {7-Hearts}, a pair of sevens. Makowsky showed {8-Hearts} {q-Hearts} / {q-Diamonds} {10-Hearts}. Singer's board bricked out the rest of the way, {10-Clubs} {8-Clubs} and {9-Clubs}, to finish with a pair of sevens and no low. That made Makowsky's heart flush, {a-Hearts} {k-Diamonds} {9-Hearts}, a bit of overkill.

Singer walks away with $9,604 in prize money. The tournament is now on a pause to re-draw to two tables.

Farzad Bonyadi Eliminated in 18th Place ($9,604)

Farzad Bonyadi - 18th place
Farzad Bonyadi - 18th place

Razz

Farzad Bonyadi's stack, never big to begin with, slowly was whittled down and down and down. Finally, he was all in during the razz round after John Juanda completed. Juanda showed three to a wheel, A-5-4, a favorite over Bonyadi's 2-10-4. Bonyadi could only muster Q-10 by the river, a hand Juanda easily bested by drawing into a 9-7.

Bonyadi leaves with $9,604 in prize money.

Razz

Brown: X-X / 2-10-A-J / X
Seiver: X-X / 4-6-A-Q / X

Scott Seiver's board drew better and better, but he couldn't shake Chad Brown. Seiver completed third street and then bet every street all the way to showdown. Seiver tabled 8-6-3 at showdown for an 8-6; Brown flashed 8-7-3 for an 8-7 and mucked.

Brown is down to 190,000. Seiver, after a rocky start, is back up t0 195,000.

Razz

David Singer was crippled in a hand against Bill Chen. We caught the action on fifth street where Chen check-called a bet by singer. The two then checked sixth and seventh street.

Ivey Chops with Reslock

Omaha-8

On a flop of {3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}, Ming Reslock bet from the small blind. Phil Ivey raised from the big blind and John Juanda called from the button. Reslock made the call as well.

The turn brought the {5-Hearts} and it was checked to Ivey who bet. Juanda folded and Reslock raised. Ivey raised all in and Reslock made the call.

Ivey: {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Reslock: {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

With both players making a wheel, they chopped the pot. Ivey is sitting on 125,000 and Reslock has 180,000.
