Boutin Plays It Slow
Pot-Limit Omaha
In a four-way limped pot, all four players checked the flop and they all proceeded to the turn on which Burt Boutin (small blind) bet pot, or 40,000 to you and me. Rob Hollink (under the gun) was the only caller.
Hollink and Boutin went heads up to the river and Boutin checked. Hollink dwelled up for a while before checking behind - and it was a good thing for him that he did, because Boutin slammed his hand down on the table - for a turned top set which had turned into the nut flush by the river.
"Who has top set and the nut flush draw?" commented a passing Kevin MacPhee.
"The guy who won," the dealer quipped back.
Boutin moved forward to 280,000. Hollink dropped back to 320,000.
