That's the Way the Ball Bounces

Leeann Ball
Leeann Ball

Leeann Ball open-raised all in for 19,000. Sidsel Boesen -- currently neck-and-neck with La Sengphet for the chip lead -- called the raise. The table folded to Yu Kurita who then pushed all in herself for about 80,000. Boesen thought a bit, then made the call.

Kurita tabled {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}, while Ball showed {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} and Boesen {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}.

The dealer handled the rest of the story. The next chapter went {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}. That was followed by {Q-Hearts}. And the conclusion read {4-Hearts}.

Ball is out in 24th place ($5,805). Kurita receives a huge boost up to 187,000. And Boesen now has 325,000, still good for second place at the moment behind Sengphet.
