Four-Way Madness

Zak Gilbert dropped down to 70,000 after Matt Savage doubled through him with a deuce-to-six straight and accompanying low.

A couple hands later he found himself all in by 7th street with three other players in. Yikes

Savage: {2-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {9-Spades} (mucked)
Gilbert: {A-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {3-Clubs} ({7-Spades} {4-Hearts} {3-Spades}) for the low
Brown: {A-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {K-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} ({10-Clubs} {8-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}) for the high
Stern: {4-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} {A-Hearts} ({6-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}) for absolutely nothing

Gilbert: up to 110,000
Savage: 170,000
Brown: up to 460,000
Stern: down to 85,000

Stern Upbraiding

Max Stern has taken a serious hit after Chad Brown scooped a pot to put the Chadster up to 375,000 while Stern drops to 110,000.

Stern: {A-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} ({3-Spades} {6-Spades} {9-Spades}) for two pair
Brown: {10-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {J-Hearts} {K-Clubs} ({J-Spades} {9-Clubs} {9-Hearts}) for a higher two pair

Allie Prescott Eliminated in 8th Place ($16,682)

Allie all out
Allie all out
The hapless Allie Prescott found himself all in on 5th street against Matt Savage and William Kohler; Kohler continued to bet, though, and Savage laid it down on 6th.

They flipped their cards and it wasn't looking bad for Prescott -- Kohler was holding two pair and a flush draw, but Prescott had a flush draw too and all sorts of outs for straights, lows and the like.

Nevertheless seventh street failed to bring him any useful outs, and with a sigh he's busto in 8th.

Savage: {6-Hearts} {J-Clubs} {6-Spades} {2-Hearts} (fold)
Kohler: {5-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {9-Spades} {9-Clubs} ({A-Clubs} {A-Hearts} {2-Diamonds})
Prescott: {3-Spades} {2-Spades} {J-Spades} {4-Diamonds} ({A-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds})

Prescott On Deathwatch

If dropping from a very respectable 200,000 to 100,000 in the past hour or so weren't enough punishment for Allie Prescott, he's now down to just 40,000 after getting involved in a hand with William Kohler and folding to a bet on 6th street.

Prescott: {5-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} (fold)
Kohler: {3-Spades} {7-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} (muck and win)

Richard Sklar Eliminated in 9th Place ($12,149)

So close, and yet so Sklar
So close, and yet so Sklar
The hand started out four-way, but it was only David Halpern who called Sklar's eventual all-in on 5th street.

Sklar: {A-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} ({4-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {7-Hearts})
Halpern: {4-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} {6-Spades} ({Q-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {K-Spades})

Thus we lose Mr Sklar in 9th and are down to our official final table. I'll wager we'll be seeing more of Mr Sklar this Series, though -- particularly if one Mr B. Obama fancies turning up to claim his free main event ticket...
