On fourth, Doyle Brunson led the betting and everyone but Yan Chen called. On fifth, Abe Mosseri took charge and bet. This time, it was Farzad Rouhani who dropped out, leaving just Doyle and Mosseri.
Mosseri bet again on sixth and then fired in the dark on seventh without looking at his last down card. Doyle called both times.
Mosseri announced a flush and a low, rolling over the . Brunson tabled for a slightly better low. The two players would chop up the pot.
Mike "The Mouth" Matusow has ducked under the rail and is standing right beside the final table. Matusow is chatting it up with some of his friends and fellow professionals along with congratulating them on making it this far. Of course, he's thrown in the occasional joke about how bad they play and how lucky they must have been to get here, but it's all in good fun.
Yan Chen completed and then bet every street. On seventh, Anthony Rivera checked his down cards and then mucked. Chen was able to pull in three big bets out of Rivera and put a nice dent in his stack.
Perry Friedman (X)(X) (X)
Jeff Lisandro (X)(X) (X)
Justin Smith (X)(X) (X)
After posting his ante, Perry Friedman was left with only 5,000 in chips, and they went into the middle on third street. Lisandro check-called a bet from Smith on fourth and both players checked fifth and sixth streets. Lisandro checked seventh street, Smith bet, and Lisandro folded.
Though Friedman had a pair of queens for high, Smith showed trip threes and with neither player making a low hand, he scooped the pot and sent Friedman to the rail in 10th place.
Farzad Rouhani had a little bit of a roller coaster ride a few minutes ago. First, he involved himself in a hand with Jeff Lisandro. Lisandro was showing three diamonds and a low draw. Rouhani had a pair of sixes on board. After seventh, Lisandro fired into Rouhani, who showed his hand. All he had was a pair of sixes. He muttered to himself that he knew he had the best hand, but let it go anyway.
"I'll show you one," said Lisandro. He then turned over the and said, "I can only show you that one."
The pot cost Rouhani about 75,000 from his stack.
On the next hand, Rouhani got it all back when he scooped a big pot from Perry Friedman. Friedman mucked his hand after Rouhani showed him two pair, kings and jacks. Perry was left with about 160,000 and Rouhani got all his chips back and then some from the previous hand.
