Ivey Comes Then Goes

Phil Ivey came running out of one of the doors along the back wall and made it to his seat just in time to grab his cards. "I wanna watch this," said Andy Black from one table over as he stood up to see if Ivey would play the hand or not.

He mucked his first hand back, but on the second hand, Ivey put in a raise to 11,000 from under the gun. Stewart Yancik then reraised to 36,000 and was all in while everyone in the room began to surround Ivey's table knowing this could be some great action.

It folded around to Senovio Ramirez III and he fired in another reraise for pot. Ivey shifted his cards to the side and then slid his entire stack into the middle to make the call all in. The crowd grew around the table as the cards were exposed.

Showdown
Ramirez: {A-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} {4-Diamonds}
Ivey: {A-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {5-Spades}
Yancik: {A-Hearts} {K-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}

The flop came down {5-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {2-Hearts} and Yancik clapped his hands together as he flopped the wheel. The turn was the {8-Hearts} and the river the {9-Diamonds}. Yancik scooped the entire main pot, but there was still a side pot between Ivey and Ramirez.

"What happens with that?" said Ivey as he pointed to the side pot. "He scoops me, too, I'm out," he continued as he got up from his chair.

Ramirez scooped the side pot from Ivey to bust him. As quickly as he came, he was back out the same door he entered and on his way back to try and capture his second bracelet of the Series.
