Brian Meinders Eliminated in 8th Place ($54,777)

Brian Meinders - 8th Place
Brian Meinders - 8th Place
As Jay Kinkade was being eliminated, a big hand was brewing over on Table #150 between chip leader Joe Serock and Brian Meinders.

All of the community cards had been dealt: {7-Spades}{J-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{J-Spades}, and it appeared as though Meinders had check-raised Serock, who then responded by pushing all in. Meinders called, turning over Q-J for trip jacks. But Serock had {10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for the straight, and Meinders is out in 8th place.

"Donk down on 150!" said the good-natured Meinders as he shook hands on his way out.

Serock moves up to a whopping 3.4 million on that one, about than two million ahead of his nearest foe (Brock Parker). We're down to seven, and so now the players are redrawing for a single seven-handed table.
