Alexander Kostritsyn Wins Without a Showdown

Alexander Kostritsyn
Alexander Kostritsyn
With the board showing {10-Spades} {7-Clubs} {4-Hearts} and about 260,000 in the pot, Alexander Kostritsyn check-called a bet of 150,000 from Garrett Beckman.

The turn fell the {2-Hearts} and both men checked. The {A-Clubs} hit the river and Kostritsyn check-called again, this time for 300,000. As soon as Kostritsyn tossed out the call, Beckman immediately mucked. Kostritsyn mucked behind and stacked the over 1,000,000 chip pot without a showdown.

Kostritsyn climbed to about 2,190,000 chips on the hand while Beckman was left with just 406,000.
