We found Minh Ly once again involved in a pot for his tournament life, and this time, he came up on the proverbial short end of the stick.

He and Fernando Fernandez were mixed up in a pot with the flop showing {8-Clubs} {9-Hearts} {9-Clubs}. Ly checked the action over to his opponent, and Fernandez put out a bet of 400. Ly check-raised all in for about 3,000, and Fernandez quickly called.

Fernandez was well ahead with his triple nines and had Minh Ly's tournament life in his hands. The turn and river came {3-Diamonds} and {3-Clubs} respectively, giving Ly his flush on the river, but making Fernandez the winning full house. With that win, he puts an end to Ly's day early in level two.
