Scotty Nguyen was all in on fifth street vs. Hoyt Verner. At the showdown Nguyen's pair of fives were bested by Verner's pair of aces and Nguyen was eliminated.
Nguyen didn't look too happy as he was leaving the table, muttering and cursing under his breath. Though he was unhappy about his elimination, he was more upset with the dealer, who had made several errors in the hands leading up to Nguyen's elimination (exposing cards, etc.)

On the river de la Cruz checked, Schneider bet and de la Cruz called. de la Cruz showed kings and deuces while Schneider turned over a ten-high straight to scoop the monster pot.
After the hand, Schneider was up to 570,000 tying Verner for the chip lead while de la Cruz slipped to 96,000.
After taking the antes and bring in on two consecutive hands, Tom Schneider just won a small pot off Hoyt Verner. Schneider made an open pair of kings on fourth street vs Verner's and won the pot with a bet.
This is Schneider's third final table of this year's WSOP. He won his first bracelet in the $2,500 Omaha/8-Stud/8 Event during the first week of the Series and went on to finish fourth in the $2,500 H.O.R.S.E. event a week later.
