Lance Allred Eliminated in 17th Place ($27,031)

Lance Allred raised to 60K from middle position. Dutch Boyd, next to act, smooth called the raise from the cutoff seat. All others folded and they took a flop heads-up.

The flop came {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Action was on Lance Allred. He was silent for a bit and then declared himself all in. Boyd waited about 10 seconds before announcing, "I call." Allred showed {Q-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and Boyd showed {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. A few people commented what a great call it was as the dealer peeled off the {8-Spades} on the turn, sealing Allred's fate. The {3-Diamonds} on the river was meaningless and Allred desperately said, "What could I do?" Boyd stacked the pot and Allred was sent home in 17th place.
