Gafer Got the Goods
Level 3
: Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Jatinder Singh opened under the gun to 1,000 before the action folded to Alan Gafer on the button who called and the big blind defended.
The 5?2?5? flop landed and Singh continued for 2,500. Gafer called and the big blind folded.
The K? hit the turn and the action checked to Gafer who took the betting lead with a wager of 2,500. Singh called.
The 8? hit the river and it checked to Gafer for the last time. He took a moment and then bet 7,000.
Singh seemed a bit frustrated and said "I guess you just flopped a five" but flicked in a call.
"Nope, a boat" Gafer said while tabling pocket deuces for the win. Singh flashed pocket queens before he mucked.
Gafer dragged a healthy pot and the old saying rings true...Deuces never loses.
