Clusiau Takes Commanding Lead After Double Knockout

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Alexander Clusiau
Alexander Clusiau

Angelo Jopek had opened from under the gun only for Alexandre Clusiau to three-bet from the cutoff. Clusiau received a call from Octavian Zamfir on the button as well as Jopek leaving three players to a flop with roughly 700,000 in the middle.

The flop came J?10?3?. Jopek checked and Clusiau bet 280,000. Zamfir then moved all in for approximately 1,500,000. Jopek called with slightly less and Clusiau went into the tank.

After a few minutes Clusiau, who had both opponents covered, made the call.

Angelo Jopek: J?10? All in
Octavian Zamfir: A?Q? All in
Alexandre Clusiau: K?K?

Jopek had flopped top two pair to leave both of his opponents in rough shape, with Zamfir drawing to just two kings and Clusiau needing running cards to take the pot. Jopek was still ahead on the A? turn but the Q? river brought in the unlikely straight for Clusiau who dragged in the biggest pot of the tournament so far while sending both Jopek and Zamfir to the rail.
