The home stretch has arrived for the WSOP Circuit Horseshoe Hammond series. The highest buy-in event of the series, the $2,200 High Roller, will crown a champion today. The Day 2 restart begins at 2 p.m. at the Horseshoe Hammond Casino in Hammond, Indiana.

A total of 68 entries registered for the tournament, with 24 making it through Day 1. Late registration is still open up until the beginning of play Monday, so the final number of entries could still go up.

After a day that saw the field play through 12 40-minute levels, Tom Brachowski (197,500) bagged the biggest on Day 1, after spending the latter hours of the night at or near the top of the chip leaderboard.

Others bagging big at the end of the night included Tim Capretta (177,000) and Greg Baird (170,000).

Players like Dan Bunce (136,500), Kevin Andriamahefa (124,000), George Pappas (116,000) and Mike Moncek (110,500) are also still in the hunt.

Play will resume at Level 13 today, with the blinds and antes at 1000/2000/2000. The total prize pool and payout structure will be announced shortly after the close of late registration.

Stay tuned to the PokerNews live blog throughout the day Monday as the High Roller plays down to a finish.
