Andrey Kotelnikov Takes the Chip Lead

Andrey Kotelnikov took the chip lead for the first time at the final table after doubling up against the former chip leader Joaquin Melogno.

Melogno opened the cutoff for 770,000 and got a call by Kotelnikov from the big blind. Melogno let the agression pour on. He fired out for 816,500 after the {8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} landed on the flop.

A bigger bet of 2,224,650 after the {k-Hearts} landed on the turn and Kotelnikov called once again.

The {9-Hearts} completed the board on the river and Melogno jammed his monster stack. Kotelnikov made the call for the 5,630,422 he had behind.

Melogno was bluffing with {7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Kotelnikov took the chip lead after turning over {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} for top pair.

Samuel Vousden jammed his short stack of 2.6 million in chips with {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and ran into the {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} held by Joakim Andersson.

Vousden didn't hit a piece of the {4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop. However, the {5-Diamonds} came on the turn giving both players an open-ended straight draw on the board.

The {6-Spades} paired the board on the river and Vousden was ousted in seventh place for $205,468.

Andersson Takes the Lead

Pablo Melogno limped from early position and all players folded before Joakim Andersson opted to check behind from the big blind.

Andersson l check-called a bet of 315,000 after the {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{5-Clubs} came on the flop. Andersson check-called again, this time for 875,600 after the {q-Clubs} came on the turn. The {6-Diamonds} completed the board on the river and Melogno bet 1,335,000 after the action was checked to him. Andersson made the quick call and turned over {8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for flopped trips to bet the {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} held by Melgano.

Andersson took the lead for the second time today at the final table.

Melogno Retakes the Lead

The {2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades} came on the flop and Melgno check-called a bet of 487,200 from Andersson

Melogno checked again after the {3-Hearts} came on the turn and Andersson fired out for 2,030,000. Melogno called and both players checked after {6-Spades} completed the board on the river.

Andersson turned over {q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} but was outkicked by Melogno, who regained the chip lead, after turning over {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for the same top pair with a better kicker.
