Jose Marie Eliminated in 13th Place (83,000 MAD)

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Jose Marie had pushed his last 350,000 in the middle and Nicolas Pacifico, a dealer and poker brush, took him up on the challenge. Marie had {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and was in bad shape against the {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} of Pacifico.

The flop was {J-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{8-Clubs} which gave Marie a couple of back door draws, but the {4-Diamonds} left him hoping to hit one of the three tens left in the deck. The river was the {5-Clubs} and Pacifico took down the pot, eliminating Marie in the process.

Marie cashes for 83,000 MAD (approx. €7,600).

Ramon Sol Eliminated in 14th Place (70,000 MAD)

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

The flop read {Q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Ramon Sol had to call for his tournament life when Najib Bennis moved all in to put the pressure on him. The call was fairly easy for Sol as he called the bet off with {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}. Bennis was playing {A-Spades}{9-Clubs} and he was drawing to a straight.

The turn was the {6-Hearts} and Bennis gained four outs and had a double gutshot straight draw. The river was the {J-Diamonds} and that gave Bennis the straight to eliminate Sol from the tournament in 14th place. He cashes for 70,000 MAD which is approximately €6,400.

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

There were no kings to be found when the board ran out and Mouloud was eliminated from the tournament in 15th position, banking 71,000 MAD (approx. €6,400).

Kebe Wins Huge Pot and is the New Chip Leader

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Hassan Fares raised to 55,000 from the under-the-gun position and Jimmy Kebe three-bet to 200,000 from the next seat. The other players folded and Fares just called.

The flop fell {J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Fares checked to Kebe. Kebe continued with a bet of 150,000 and he got the call from Fares.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds} and Fares check-called again. Kebe put in a bet of 300,000 this time and the pot grew to 1,368,000.

The river was the {3-Spades} and Kebe put in a bet of 750,000. Fares thought about it and then flicked in a chip to call. Kebe showed {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} for the nuts and Fares showed {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}. Fares immediately got up out of frustration as he walked away from the table.

Kebe then collected the big 2,900,000 pot and is the chip leader of the tournament now with only 15 players left.

Kamel Atoui
Kamel Atoui

Kamel Atoui made some bold plays during the tournament but his run has now come to an end. Atoui got his last chips in the middle with pocket sevens and he had to hit a seven against the pocket queens of Edoardo Mortera.

Mortera already flopped a boat earlier to double up and he hit a set this time when the flop fell queen-high. No running sevens for Atoui and he was sent to the rail in 16th place, cashing for 61,000 MAD (approx. €5,600).
