Miegel Clashes With Gumz

Level 6 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Jakob Miegel
Jakob Miegel

Three players saw a flop of {q-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{7-Clubs} together with Vadym Sienichkin first to act. He checked, Fabian Gumz bet 5,500, Jakob Miegel called in late position, and Sienichkin folded.

On the {a-Hearts} turn, Gumz checked, Miegel bet 13,500, and Gumz called. The river was the {3-Clubs} and both players checked their option.

Gumz flipped {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} up for two pair but was second best to Miegel's {j-Spades}{10-Spades} for a Broadway straight.

Sklenicka Bluffs it Off

Level 5 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Vadym Sienichkin

On the turn, the board read {7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Spades} and Michael Sklenicka bet 18,000 from the small blind. Vadym Sienichkin came along with the call in position.

The river brought the {6-Diamonds} and Sklenicka slid all his big denomination chips forward, enough to put Sienichkin at risk. The Ukranian shrugged and flicked in a calling chip after about ten seconds.

Sklenicka turned over a whiffed {j-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Sienichkin, showing {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} doubled his stack of 78,800.

Walter Catches the Straight

Level 4 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Viktor Walter
Viktor Walter

Four players saw a flop of {7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{9-Clubs} together and all players checked to Ondrej Lon on the button. Lon bet 10,000 and only Viktor Walter called the bet out of position. Both players then checked the {10-Hearts} on the turn.

On the {10-Clubs} river, Walter bet 11,000 and Lon went in the tank. He took a sip of his Corona, took another good look, then called it off. Walter triumphantly showed him {j-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for the straight, Lon could only shake his head and muck.
