Chai Doubles Through Nat

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Paul Chai
Paul Chai

Arish Nat was in the cutoff and put out a raise to 150,000. He was called by Roman Shainiuk, who was on the button, and Paul Chai three-bet all in from the big blind. Nat quickly announced a call, prompting a fold from Shainiuk.

Paul Chai: {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Arish Nat: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

The two were off to the races as the flop came {j-Spades}{3-Spades}{k-Hearts}, giving Nat four more outs to Broadway in addition to his two overcards. The turn {2-Clubs} cut the number of chances that Nat had for the knockout in half, leaving Chai to sweat 10 outs on the pending river. It fell {8-Hearts} to secure the double, giving him newfound life in the process.

Richardson Gets Another One From Chai

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

One hand after doubling up through Paul Chai, Paul Richardson took another bite out of Chai's stack.

Richardson completed the small blind, and Chai checked back from the big blind. Chai led out for a 365,000 overbet on the {6-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} flop, and Richardson went into the tank.

After a few minutes, Richardson pushed all of his chips into the middle, having Chai slightly covered.

"Do you have king?" Chai wondered out loud. A few moments later, Chai folded.

Shainiuk Picks Up Aces To Get Over Four Million

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Roman Shainiuk opened to 120,000 from the button and was called by Paul Chai, who defended his big blind. The flop came {10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and Chai checked. Shainiuk made a continuation-bet of 300,000 and Chai called.

Chai then led out for 600,000 on the turn {10-Clubs} and Shainiuk immediately announced he was all in, receiving a green "all-in" button from the dealer. Chai asked for a count, which totaled to be 2.64 million, a bit more than he had left in his stack.

"I have pocket nines," said Chai, tabling the {9-Spades} as he folded.

Shainiuk showed for the third time today, tabling {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}.

"First time today," he said about having pocket aces as he collected the pot, bringing his stack to over 4 million in chips.

Shainiuk Flops Three, Checks Twice

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Roman Shainiuk had action fold to him in the small blind and completed, putting action on Paul Richardson, who checked his option from the big blind. The two checked through to the river on a runout of {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{2-Spades}{k-Clubs}, where Shainiuk put out a bet of 225,000 and was quickly called.

Shainiuk tabled {9-Spades}{4-Spades} for trip fours, having waited until the river to put out a pot-sized value bet. It worked in his favor, as Richardson showed {k-Diamonds} as he mucked, bringing him down under 600K in chips.
