Lancaster Turns Up a Set
Level 8
: 300/600, 600 ante
Ray Villaman opened to 1,600 from middle position, and Mike Lancaster three-bet to 4,500 from the hijack. The action folded back around to Villaman, who made the call.
Villaman check-called a 5,000 bet on the flop. Villaman checked again on the turn, and Lancaster continued the aggression with a 6,000 bet. Villaman called again, bringing the on the river.
Villaman checked for a third time, and Lancaster fired the third barrel, this time for 12,000. That bet sent Villaman deep into the tank.
"I think we might have the same hand," Villaman said after a few minutes. He finally made the call, but saw the bad news when Lancaster turned over for a turned set of queens. Villman mucked his in frustration as Lancaster collected the pot.
