Silcock Takes Petras Out
Level 8
: 250/500, 50 ante
The board read with a pot of about 18,000 and Jan Petras had checked his big blind. The players in mid-position and the cutoff did the same. Rickie Silcock bet 7,000, Petras shoved for 27,400. The player in mid-position folded immediately, the player in the cutoff had a harder time trying to make a decision. He kept looking at Petras and Silcock. Especially eyeing Silcock's stack but after about two minutes, he decided to fold. Silcock called.
Jan Petras:
Rickie Silcock:
They had both hit trip eights but Silcock had the better kicker. He just needed to avoid another four or six to not have to double his opponent up.
The on the river wasn't any of the outs his opponent needed and all the chips went to Silcock's stack.
