Vang on the Comeback Trail

Level 21 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

About 25 minutes ago, Kou Vang was knocked down to a single gray T5,000 chip. He has now worked it up to 120,000!

After going runner-runner to make a straight and crack aces, Vang hit a two-outter on the river to double yet again. Most recently, Vang moved all in under the gun for 56,000 and received a call from Robert Cheung in the big blind.

Cheung: {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Vang: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

Vang got it in good, but Cheung got a sweat as the {3-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop paired his eight. Luckily for Vang, neither the {7-Diamonds} turn nor {Q-Diamonds} river helped Cheung and he was able to double. Kang is sitting with half the chip average, but he's still in much better shape than he was at the end of last level.
