Day 2 Action About to Kick Off
Welcome back to our coverage of the World Series of Poker Circuit presented by Southern Comfort 100 Proof. We're live for the Harrah's Philadelphia Main Event where 174 of the 333 original entrants will return for Day 2 play. Across two starting flights and several re-entries, it was Rachel Kranz who rose above the field to claim the top chip position heading into Day 2 with 143,700.
Yesterday's play saw a slew of notable names fall either once or twice. Those to have their dreams of taking down the Harrah's Philadelphia Main Event dashed include Cord Garcia, last year's third-place finisher Pete Kaemmerlen, Doug Carli, Robert Cheung, Chris Reslock, Roland Israelashvili and Octo-Niner Russell Thomas.
While those players fell, others thrived. Both returning to play today are last year's first and second place finishers Christopher Bonn and Ken Silberstein who bagged up 45,100 and 75,100 respectively. Other notable to return today are Joseph McKeehen (88,200), Aaron Overton (85,000), Jonas Wexler (85,000), Tom Christopher (73,200), Ari Engel (68,700), Rex Clinkscales (59,800), Matt Glantz (36,300), Allen Kessler (27,000) and Michael Esposito (17,100).
