Zinaty Rewarded for Good Call
While Rick Hensley was losing the last of his once-massive stack at the neighboring table, George Zinaty also had seen his big stack shrink during the first two levels today. But unlike Hensley who has already busted, Zinaty just turned things around for himself thanks to a big turn call versus Richard Langdon.
The hand started with a Zinaty raise to 9,000 from early position, then Langdon reraised to 18,000 from a seat over and it folded back to Zinaty who called. The flop came , and Zinaty check-called Langdon's continuation bet of 14,000.
Fourth street then brought the , and when Zinaty checked Langdon pushed all in for 93,000. Zinaty tanked for a couple of minutes, carving out the calling chips and muttering to himself as he did. Finally he called, turning over , and was elated to see Langdon table .
The river was the , and Langdon was eliminated. Zinaty sat back in his chair afterwards and exhaled.
"I need a break!" he said with a relieved-looking smile. He'll be getting one in about 10 minutes.
