Mueller Out; Giesbrecht Soars

Sean Giesbrecht opened with a raise to 7,500 from middle position. Braden Hall tagged along from the cutoff and the button got out of the way. Greg Mueller looked down at his hand in the small blind and pushed out a three-bet to 22,000.

As Giesbrecht pondered his decision, his phone rang.

"You can't phone a friend!" chimed Mueller from across the table with a smile.

Giesbrecht eventually decided to call and Hall tagged along as well.

The flop brought {9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Mueller continued with a 45,000 chip bet. Giesbrecht quickly dipped into his stack and came out with a raise to 110,000. Hall released his hand and action was back on Mueller.

"Oooh boy," lamented Mueller. "Alright, I'm all in."

"Call!" yelled Giesbrecht as he tabled {4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for trip deuces. Mueller showed {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} and was in dire need of help. The turn and river were the {7-Clubs} and the {9-Diamonds} and just like that Mueller was eliminated from the tournament.

Giesbrecht, however, is sitting pretty in the chip lead with 410,000.
