Weber Wins Massive Pot On River
Well it's been a pretty good start for Matt Weber. We reported earlier that Weber won a nice pot on the first hand that he had sat down. Well we just saw him score a massive double up that by our estimations puts him at the early chip lead, despite only playing the last two levels.
We didn't catch the hand until the river, but here's what we saw. The board read , and Weber had moved all in for 29,000 on top of his opponent's 5,000 bet. His opponent was clearly pained by the decision, writhing in his chair and making frustrated faces.
After a couple minutes, Weber called the clock on his opponent, and about 30 seconds into the clock, his opponent announced call, and slammed the chips into the middle. Weber rolled over for a rivered full house, and his opponent let out an audible groan before sliding the chips over.
Weber is now sitting on a massive stack of 60,000, almost which is worth 300 big blinds at the current level.
