Frankenberger's Monster

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Andy Frankenberger
Andy Frankenberger

First in from the hijack seat, Greg Merson raised to 3,200, and Andy Frankenberger three-bet him from the button. Merson four-bet shoved for another 69,400 on top, and Frankenberger tanked for a long while before making the call. The news was not good for the former chip leader:

Merson: {K-Spades} {K-Clubs}
Frankenberger: {A-Spades} {K-Hearts}

The {8-Hearts} {J-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} flop missed Frankenberger completely, but the {10-Diamonds} turn gave him another four outs to Broadway. He'd miss the queen, but he smacked the {A-Diamonds} on fifth street, shooting out of his chair and letting out a big, "Yes!" Merson wished his table luck and headed for the door, and Frankenberg is back amongst the leaders with about 180,000 now.
