Fath-Eddine Leads 158 Survivors Ahead of WPTDS Marrakech Day 2
From a record field of 545 just 158 players remain coming into Day 2 of the WPTDeepStacks Marrakech Main Event. Held at the Es Saadi Resort and in conjunction with the Casino de Marrakech, the players coming back will all have their sights set on making it through to Sunday's final day and a chance at being crowned the latest WPTDS Champion.
However, in order to do so they will first have to get through eleven 60-minute levels when cards get in the air at 12:00 local time. This increase from the 40 minutes on Day 1a and 1b will mean that extra little bit of play when it comes to navigating their way towards the money bubble and beyond.
Sitting in pole position is Day 1a chip leader Ismail Fath-Eddine (428,500) who is the only player over the 400,000 mark. Behind him sits Nabil Ben Azzouz (349,000) and Paul Michaelis (308,000) who are the only other players over 300,000 in chips.
Other notable players still in the field include Bruno Fitoussi (52,000), Bertrand Grospellier (74,000), defending champion Francois Tosques (158,000), Alexandre Reard (27,000), Bernard Guigon (99,000), Pierre Antoine Quignard (46,000), Erwann Pecheux (67,000), Arthur Conan (120,000) and former Premier League footballer Jimmy Kebe (29,500).
Registration closed yesterday and as soon as the prize pool information is available we will publish it right here on PokerNews. Stay tuned to keep up to date with all the action as it happens at the latest WPTDS stop.
