Belatik Takes the Lead

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Anas Belatik
Anas Belatik

Pablo R opened to 80,000 with {A-Spades}{J-Clubs} and Louis Linard called with the {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, Anas Belatik defended the big blind with {Q-Spades}{5-Spades}. On the {K-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop, Belatik quickly checked and Pablo R applied pressure by leading for 75,000.

Only Linard called and the {4-Spades} turn was checked through, as was the {7-Diamonds} on the river. Linard won the pot before he took on another big stack.

Linard opened to 90,000 and called a three-bet to 230,000 by Anas Belatik with the {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. Belatik held {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} and checked the {K-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop, as did Linard. Belatik made it 190,000 to go on the {K-Hearts} turn and Linard called.

The {5-Spades} appeared on the river and Belatik bet for 290,000. Linard gave it some consideration and counted his remaining chips before eventually making the call. Once he saw the bad news, the stack of the young Frenchman dropped below a million while Belatik jumped into the lead.

Mamouni Takes from Cruz

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Pablo R raised to 65,000 with the {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and Daniel C called with the {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts} in the big blind. On the {K-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop, Daniel C check-called a bet worth 40,000 and checked again the {J-Clubs}.

Pablo R checked behind and the {8-Clubs} river completed the board. Both players checked and the Spaniard claimed yet another pot.

Smain Mamouni opened to 70,000 from under the gun with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} the next hand and Anthony Cruz called from the big blind with {4-Clubs}{3-Spades}. On the {Q-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop, Cruz checked and quickly called a bet worth 85,000 by Mamouni.

After the {2-Diamonds} turn, Cruz checked once more and Mamouni made it 170,000 to go, picking up a bet by Cruz. The {8-Spades} river went check, check and the pot was sent to Mamouni.

Damien Lhommeau
Damien Lhommeau

Damien Lhommeau moved all in for 230,000 and Daniel C reluctantly called from one seat over. Anas Belatik cut out a three-bet to 635,000 and Daniel C quickly

{J-Spades}{10-Spades}
{Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

The {Q-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop gave Lhommeau a ton of outs, as did the {A-Clubs} turn. However, the cruel {5-Spades} on the river was the wrong spade as it improved Belatik to a full house. For his efforts, the former PMU.fr Team Pro and online qualifier for this event received MAD 132,000.
