The Good Ol' River Check Raise

It must have been weeks ago since we saw a proper river check raise, but just now we saw a good one. Good for Jens L��bbe from Germany that is, not so good for David Boyaciyan.
Boyaciyan opened the hijack for 400 and L��bbe in the small blind was the sole caller. L��bbe check called a bet of 650 on 
and another 1,250 on the 
turn.
The river came the 
and L��bbe checked a third time. Boyaciyan picked 2,200 and moved the bet forward. L��bbe had his cards in his hands, and for a second we thought he was going to muck 'em. Instead he picked up 8,500 in chips and said "Raise!"
Boyaciyan hesitated for a bit, before releasing his hand.
